Wow none of your dwgs can be opened in Studio? I just created a load
procedure to load a dwg that started of in R12 vanilla AutoCAD opened up
fine for me in 2010 Stu

AFAIK, the DWG is a proprietary format.
There exists an OpenDWG alliance with a DWG library,
but calling it "open source" is incorrect in my opinion.
It is non-trivial to understand the DWG file format,
especially since the 2004 version came ou

I don't think any open source projects support DWG
