Fusion 2.0 beta is reasonably stable for most the functionality that was in the 1.1 series of releases. The biggest change is that a MapGroup element now allows multiple Map elements which can be of any layer type supported by OpenLayers, and this is the part that needs more testing. We

Yes, it's a steep learning curve :) If you're using Fusion out of the box it's worth your time to upgrade to version 1.1.1. Quite a few bugs have been fixed since the version that is in the MapGuide installer, and I believe that the upgrade process is fairly painless (just rename the old fusion
