thank you for you good answers according to my
problem with using CentroidX and CentroidY
functions.
My headache is gone. The problem was solved using
MapBasic command Set CoordSys Earth "My
projection
Parameters". Strange thing is that even you can see
from Map-Option
I've had this bug in a network environment where the Mapperwindow maximizes
on a local machine specific basis. In other words all workspaces open with
maximized mapper windows. Will the below settings address the problem for
any workspaces opened at the computer workstation in question?

Thought I would mention that the web distribution for aerial images has
changed for the better. In the past you could get the doqq images from
http://teraserver.microsoft.com but it was a piece of a doqq and you didn't
get the reference info so you could not register it in mapinfo. I not

I bet your units are not what you expect them to be. Pull down the Map
Menu. From the bottom of the menu select options. Set your distance
units as reqyyuired eg metres or kilometres.
