Hello, greetings from the Solomons,
I have been writing a few MapBasic programs for
village searches and data checking/updating for the village tables we have
here. One, which works fine, creates a menu, depending on the item selected from
the menu another .mbx is run to find the input vi
G'day Everyone!
A few days ago one of my clients approached me with the following problem: He
had oodles of MapInfo layer information all in one directory. All he wanted
to know was whether the MBR (minimum bounding rectangle that contains the
data) could be fetched directly out of each laye

When trying to import an election board precinct
map created in autocad I get the following:
"dxf file does not contain a tables
section"
"dxf file does not contain a block
section"
"dxf file does not contain an entities
section"
Could someone please advise what's happening
here?
Thank
We've seen it too with MI 5.5 and Win NT4.0, so it isn't just a Win98
thing. We reported it to MI, but they said it is probably be a video
conflict, but it happens on many of our computers, all with different
hardware configurations. Sounds like a bug to me, MI just needs to
admit it and fix it.
That's not true. I insert objects with data elements all the

(Ce n'est pas vrai. J'insère des objets avec des éléments
d'informations toute
l'heure. Cependant, je mets l'objet d'abord.)

Hello Fellow Mappers,
I'm making some maps that will be imported into another
application as a .bmp and it requires the x and y coordinates of
the bounding frame. I see no other way to do this except for
mousing over each edge of the frame boundary and noting the x,y
coordinates--a real pain, no

element..
