No place size indicators at all in DCW and VMap0 (unless you count the fact
that larger places are spelt in capitals). The other problem with DCW data
is that there are no accented characters which is quite a problem for

converter that allows most of them to connect to MAC's (up to the summagrid

I am not too familiar with DCW, but I believe that it only holds broad
size indicators, and it is somewhat old now.

When I use the concentric buffer tool that is packaged
with MI 5.5 I get all kinds of errors I never heard of and are not documented.
One I get is "too many open files" (3 are open) , I have .5 gig RAM , when

I have been working with MapInfo for several months now on similar problems.
If we do not install the program and data in the default install
directories, we cannot get MapXsite to work.
Still waiting for explanation and fix from MapInfo.

path of your MapImage directory - its quite possible that the asp pages were
using either a virtual path or your config has been altered.

I have copied ASP Hello World tutorial (Mapxsite
program) from one directory into an other directory (which exists in the same
'level' as the original one) and the map dissappears from the Map Page. In the
original file the map exists in the Map Page.
What is wrong? The program don'

This will be a problem with a renamed or missing field in a table. The
MapInfo Workspace is trying to set up labels on a field called "ID" which no
longer exists. (even though you may never have put any labels on).
