I'm trying to combine objects using a column from a
table and keep getting the error "An error occurred overlaying the objects
Operation cancelled" when the process gets a certain amount of the way
through. Can anyone explain what might be wrong ??
TIA,
Scott..
I just looked for that registry key and couldn't
find it ! I'm running WinNT 4, and couldn't even find anything similar under
"border" or "export"
Do you think it could be under something else
?
Scott..

No, I'm actually exporting the map window directly, I'd rather not change
this either unless I have to..
Any more ideas ?
Thanks anyway,
Scott..

Is there any way of exporting a map window to a graphics file
without a black border around the resulting image ??
TIA
Scott..
When I use the "Set Window" statement on a particular machine
to adjust the size of the window (in inches) it will not increase to a value
beyond 8. However on another machine I can get the height to be alot
bigger, can anyone explain why ??
Cheers,
Scott..
Sometimes when I export a particular map to a graphics file
BMP/TIFF it comes out much larger in size than at other times. When I open
the large file in a third party graphics package it says that the file is 24bit
true colour. The pc resolution is 256 colours and I was under the impression
Chris,
I thought about that, but how do you do an MBR of multiple region objects ??
Cheers,
Scott..

I have a map window containing a country with part of it

I have a map window, that I have set through code to be 8 x 7
inches. Why, when I save the map window to a JPEG using the same
proportions and then open it in a 3rd party graphics package, does it say that
it is actually 26.48 x 23.17 inches at 29 pixels per inch??
Any light on the subject

I would rather avoid using API calls if I can,
Scott..

Is there a mapbasic command (or some other way in MB) to force
a map window to re-draw ?
Cheers,
Scott..
I have a data table that contains information to create 2 dot
density maps, some to be plotted against layer A and some against layer
B.
I would like to specify an addional part of the where clause
in the add column statement so that the data table is kind of 'split' into
two.
e.g. Add Colum
I have a country level map that is shaded with a dot density
layer that occupies only a small corner of the country.
How (in MB) do I zoom to the closest view of the entire layer
of dots ??

Is there any way to change the size of the dots produced by a
dot density map ? I am using MI v5

Scott..
