I have read so many horror stories on the subject that I made a small

that convinced me not to use custom bitmap

We are using custom symbols to symbolise traffic signs and are having a
great deal of problems trying to print them.
A print file ( to either a HP755cm oor HP Deskjet 1120c at A4) of about
30 polygons and some text without the custom symbol is 123kb
A exact same file with 1 custom symbol

I am in a local gov authority in Australia and was wondering if anyone
ha come up with a method or mbx for plotting arcs given the start poit,
end point, radius and selecting a point either side of the chord to show
which way the arc curves (like what is available through Genamap).

Does anyone know of a good drainage and pipe analysis program compatable
with MapInfo? Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone especially in Australia know of an application that works
with mapinfo to keep an inventory of signs, road markings etc and be
able to report on these by type condition etc.

I have been through the archives and haven't got a definative answer on
high quality output of data from mapinfo, I know this topic arises from
time to time but any ideas would be appreciated.

Our council plots alot of subdivisions some with arcs and I would like
to know if there is an mbx or application around that allows you to
create an arc with a certain radius by clicking the start point , end
point of the line and which side of the chord the arc is on such as in
Genamap.

found any workarounds or solutions
It appears Mapinfo still dithers 24 bit imagery to 8 bit when it sends
it to a postscript printer. I thought 5.5 was supposed to fix the 24 bit
raster problems.
