Greetings, List. I hope that the rather cumbersome title will be clear after reading on. Using MapX we need to produce the following: for a pre-determined table in a database present a dialog to the user allowing him to select any field, with any operator, and use And and Or for combining up to N fields (N usually = 3 or 4). Perhaps something like the MI Pro SQL query dialog (simplified). Or the ODBC Open Step 3 panel. It seems to me that this could easily be generic code in VB. Input would be the table name, and output would be the SQL string. Before we sink our teeth into this, I was wondering if anyone had already "invented this wheel." And was prepared to share it, of course. TIA to all responders.
