non-earth metres. Is there a simple way to fix this problem? I know I can
edit the mifs, but as I mentioned in another thread, I've got a lot of
these to deal with.

I just received maps in Autocad DWG from Colombia region (South
America). The scale is 1:50 000, but don't know the projection. The
coordinates are around 1000m East and 1000m North and fit with the Grid.

This is possible to do if you want to move one node in an object (polygon)
and that same node can also be found in other objects in the same layer.
Go to Options, Preferences, Map Window and choose to move duplicates nodes
in the same layer.

I'm not an expert in this but I think what you are asking for is an ArcInfo
model, which MapInfo does not use. ArcInfo will use a single line that
represents the boundary between two adjacent polygons. One line may form
the northern boundary of one polygon, and the southern boundary of another.
