Dear listers, I am desperately pushing MapInfo 6.0 to generate a grid out of a very large database of elevation points, but it seemes to be not possible to reach the minimum cell-size I actually need. Working both on 10.6 and 5.3 mln. elevation points, MapInfo allows the same minimal grid

Gedas, Check to see if you have one or more mapinfo objects placed 'off the map'. Right click: View entire layer All layers. If you have some points with 'bad coordinates', like (0,0) then delete them. You then might the be able to reduce the default minimum grid cell size. Best regards,

Hi You can use the FME from www.safe.com to convert from one format to another. Though you need to buy it. and if you just want to convert to shp format, use the Universal Translator provided with MI to convert the TAB file to shp file. There is no loss in doing the conversions and you
