MI-L updating columns

Hello all, I had a problem last week with updating columns of a table and was able to correct it by having the two columns in the same format - character/float - thanks to all who replied! Now mapinfo won't update 2 tables for me, both have matching column formats with the files I want to take

This is probably a dumb question, but does anyone know why a map shape changes when I convert a map info table to dwg/dxf? It almost looks like a different projection or something. Any clues? Thanks! Adam

MI-L textpad and workspace

Hi everyone, I have made a series of workspaces and I want to add a few tables to all of them. I edited them in textpad to save time. The workspace opens with all the tables I want but the layout opens up with no view. Is there a way of making the layout window to have what I want in it.
