Hi,
We need to add mapping capabilities to an existing Client/Server application...
functionaly The user (localized outside the main offoce) has to digitize some polygon
using a raster as background.
Initialy we thought to use MapX... But the quality of the network is poor...
So I see wo
From memory, the DXF specification is available on Autodesk's site -
unfortunatley I can't remember exactly where.

Hi everyone,
I would like to know whether anyone has done Network Analysis in MapInfo,
in particular using raster (grids). In ArcView it is possible to undertake
network analysis based on both the vector and raster models if you have the
right extensions.
I am aware of a package called
Mapcalc should be able to do so with raster data:

Seems that this option has been disabled!! :-(
Could you please verify this ?

Hello Soren,
You've fallen into a common trap when learning SQL! Sometimes AND's and OR's
are the opposite to what one would express in spoken language. In this case,
I assume you want to select records from any of the three cities. In this
case you need to use OR instead of AND. What's happening
Hi all

Hi Soren
Map Info does not want And if you are selecting from one field, but it rather wants
Or. So simple run the same query and put Or instead of And.

MapCalc should most probably do it but I was wandering about a built in constraint in
that program; it works exclusively with non-projected data. That could have some
bearing on the precision of the calculations if there are based on simple raster
positions and not on actual distances. One must
