Hello, I ask two question : 1) What is the capacity of MapInfo on a one layer. (For intansce have 1,000,000 polygon in one layer, MapInfo does support?) 2) I want to add MapInfo menu as file. Add menu run to Visual Basic exe. Is it possible? If possible what can I do? Thanks. Mehmet ALKAN

Hi, The upper limit is 2 GB for TAB files. With 1 million polygons, that leaves appr. 2000 bytes per polygon, which is sufficient if your polygons doesn't have too many vertices. As many as 100 vertices per polygon may be possible, but try it first with some sample data of yours. Kind regards

MapInfo should definitely open a grid with up to 2^16 rows or 2^16 columns, but I'm not brave enough to try and create a grid with 2^16 rows _and_ 2^16 columns (ie. 4 x 10^9 cells for a size of 8GB++). Beyond that you may run into problems depending on the grid format being used, although

Peter, If your Proxy or Firewall requires authentication, the WMS client won't work. It uses whatever setting Internet Explorer has set. I could be wrong on this next bit, but I understand that it uses a standard HTTP request and uses on TCP Port 80 (if one isn't define in your proxy settings),
