to specify as update expression "COL1+COL2+COL3+". I know it is kind of

Can anyone tell me whether the number of inflections in the grid appearance
dialog box can be increased to greater than 16. This seems to be a very low
number considering you might have a range from 0 to 200 and may need to
separate at a low interval.

If you want a large number of inflexion points (i.e. different colours), I
would suggest that you export the grid as a MI cell map tab, re-codify the z
values as class values (a regular range thematic is also limited to 16) with
a maximum of 256 and run an individual value thematic on these values.

The only MapBasic book available (I think) is called MapBasic Developer's
Guide by Angela Whitener & Breck Ryker (ISBN 1566901138) published by OnWard
Press. MapBasic is fairly easy to pick-up just by working through some of
the samples provided (it must be I did it!) and working throug

You didn't say what OS your customer has. I have Windows 2000 pro. The
administrator account has the files at this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\Application
Data\MapInfo\MapInfo\Professional\700
XP is similiar. Copy the files to your customers user account like:
C:\Documents
I have the same problem with Win98. I know where the files are
(C:\Application Data\MapInfo\MapInfo\Professional\700\ or something like
that), but I have to specify each time I start MI where the files are...
Is there a way to tell MI where to look every time?

You could copy the files to the MapInfo directory, or you could try running the
Setup.exe found in the AddUser folder in the MapInfo program folder.
When MapInfo can't find these files, it's normally because something wnet wrong, when
running the AddUser installation.

I think you'll need to drop the existing table or delete the records in this. Then you
can use the insert function to insert the new reocrds.
