MI-L Custom line styles created using MI Line Style Editor v2.0

2005-02-03 Thread Driver, Greg 9434
In the past I've created some new lines styles using the line style editor provided by MapInfo. The other day I realised that I hadn't updated the line styles after I'd upgraded to MI v7.8. So I copied my custom line style file replacing the default MapInfow.PEN file installed when I upgraded.

MI-L How to change coordsys on Access tables?

2005-02-03 Thread Søren Breddam
Hi, I've converted some gigabytes of tables to a different coordsys. However, there are some of the tables that are mappable Access tables. When they are converted using 'Save copy as' with coordsys clause, they are being saved as native MI tables. 1. Is it possible to identify an Access table

MI-L Excel Databases

2005-02-03 Thread Ali, Naz @ Vancouver
Hi Everyone: When I import an Excel worksheet as a table into MapInfo (to geocode, for example), I find that I cannot edit the records (it becomes read-only). In order to edit any records, add or eliminate, I have to copy as something else. However, if I create a new table or import from Access,

MI-L tool to save objects as new files

2005-02-03 Thread Will Mitchell
OK, I am not sure what you'd call this, but is there a simple MBX kicking about that will 'explode' a file into one new file per record/object? So if you have one file - a layer of 50 regions and you need a separate TAB file per region, would want to automatically 'save copy as.' for each record

Will, This is a function in Data Assistant, an evaluation version of which is available on our website. Your table is not restrictedd to regions ... it can be any spatial object in MapInfo. The table name is based on the unique value of the associated record. Assign a rowid if you want one

Hello Christine, Use the File Save Copy As command instead. This will give you a new table, that has no relationship with the full table. If you want a file, that both opens the full table and selects the BC polygon, you will have to create a workspace like this: !Workspace !Version 600
