Hi Folks
Can anyone tell me where exactly the list of Named Views is stored?
I want to copy them across to another PC but can't find them anywhere.
(I've found the actual tool but that's not it apparently)
Cheers

Hi,
As an infrequent user of MapInfo 5.5, I have a problem to solve:
>From time to time I download Waypoints from a GPS using Garmin's Mapsource.
It outputs the lat and lon as one field like "N44.04427 W91.66825." I used
"MID$" to extract the numerical parts into newly-defined latitude and

This is a strange one.
Version 8.0 was just installed on the machine. I don't know if it is a factor
in this.
We have one machine that will not open a workspace with a layout window in it.
It doesn't matter whether the layout was created on that machine or a different
one. It will open wo
Hi Ian,
IF you are using the CRS product that is supplied in New Zealand - you
can ask to have those road polygons provided to you.

Hi there,
I have a TAB file with 150 polygons. I would like to somehow create a
separate TAB file of where the overlaps take place along with a count of
how many overlaps take place. In some cases only two polygons might
overlap while in other cases 10 polygons could overlap. I have used the

Hello,
Thanks to everyone who provided information
regarding mapinfo MIF/MID import.
I am not a mapinfo user. This is why my earlier question
may have seemed a bit odd. I don't have the program.
The file was checked for fields greater than 254 characters.
The longest was 187, so no problem ther
I have no 'enlightenment', but I have seen the visual change. I never paid
attention to see if it was adding old tables to new tables or vice versa. I
don't think it has affected my layout windows, at least not enough for me to
have noticed.

I have noticed an oddity since I upgraded to MI 7.8 from 6.5. I import
and store all of my tables as lat long NAD 83. However, when I look at
the table info using Coordinate Bounds manager, the projection is stored
either as (1,33) for older tables, or (1,74) for relatively newer tables.

XP64 is supposed to be really lame I hear, because of the lack of driver
support. I have the same setup as you, but with the 3400.
Good luck with the rain. Up here in Dallas it isn't much better.

Rinus,
You are right. This should be considered a bug as this behaviour shouldn't be
expected when doing a subselect. It could seems as if MapInfo actually performs
a join in stead ?? At least that could explain why some of the records appear
several times in the result.

Hi All,
I have another labelling question. We are trying to find a way to have a table
open up and automatically lable itself. We want to aviod having the text as
part of the layer but have had a request to have the objects named. Without
creating any new layers or having to label the objec
