I hit another bump..
I took my text tables create a cell_id column. Then I updated my
column using the join function. I specified: Where my objects form my
grid_cell tables contains objects from my road_text tables.
it works but.. what if a street name extends to 2 or 3 grid cells.

minor errors (extra nodes on one, not included on the neighboring polygon,

I created the query I had used the "save query" command instead of "save copy
as". Now I see that the "save query" creates only.tab and .qry
files, so the parent table is opened also. Not so when you use "save copy
as".
