I tried to follow that track. It involves finding
first the MI dialog ID. To do that, it is written to launch MI with the command
string “-helpdiag”, to open a dialog and to use the help button;
instead of the help being open, one should get the ID number.

out certain parts of the menu and or toolbars ..or all of them if you want a
really stripped down menu/toolbars.

I ran the -helpdiag on my W2K box, and it ran as
expected. And I was able to close Pro by clicking on the X-in-the-corner
:-)
But it didn't bring me much further,
though :-(
With the help of Resource Hacker and VS2K3, I was
able to generate a textual resource file

There is a tool you can use for detecting self-intersections, overlap and
gaps. If you go to the Objects dropdown menu there is a tool called Check
Regions. I believe that the data layer has to be editable and you have to
have the objects selected.

Now that I have my layout set up how I want it, printing to PDF is causing some issues. I have the page layout set to 36X60 but when I print to PDF the bottom 1/4 or so of the map doesn't show up. The size of the PDF is correct, but it doesn't print the whole map fro

I created a rounded rectangle on a cosmetic layer. It looks fine, but as
soon as I do a rotation on it (either freehand or with the rotation
function) my rounded rectangle suddently changes into an ordinary
rectangle..
I'm running MIpro 8.0
Has anyone seen this before?

I didn't find the solution to my problem but I found a nice workaround.
create a simple line then make a buffer.
Result: a nice rounded rectangle.

Eric suggested changing my dpi from 1200 to 600. It was already at 600, but changed to 300 (minimum required by printers at this size of map for quality resolution) and now is printing properly! Thanks so much

Currently I have a map project open, and on the tool
bar there’s selection tools and polygon tools. However, I found out the
bar does not come with and info tool to show the relevant info of the selected
point, and I haven’t been able to find it through the custom tools.
