It appears, at least for our machines
that turning off the nView Desktop stuff works.

I believe I remember sometime this year about seeing the
MapInfo Profile Settings question going around. By this I mean
if I want 5 users set up exactly how Im set up like under Options-Preferences
and so on, I want to just duplicate how everyone else is set up.

The SQL Select syntax is:

where table1.obj intersects table2.obj
Note that the area returned will be in Mapinfo's current area units, so
you might want to set these by running the 'Set Area

Are you refering to reprojecting a map, i.e. changing the projection of
layers in a map? If so, the only way to do this is to use File--Save
Copy As and changing the projection in the save file dialog. This isn't
a bug, but just the way things are done in MapInfo. I'm using MapInfo
I have two tables - 1 consisting of 70 polygons and 1 consisting of 20
polygons. Both tables cover the same area, what I want to do is work out what
area or percentage of each of the polygons that is within another.
Does anyone know the syntax to do this?

In addition to David Hilpipres message, I have found that the
following certainly helps when I am printing transparent rasters (MI 7.0 a HP
650C plotter):
Go to FilePrint
and select the plotter
In the bottom right
hand side of dialogue box you will see an
