MI-L MapBasic - Commit Statement Error

I've got a MapBasic program which selects data from two tables and combines it. Then it tries to commit the selected table under a different name. Whenever I run the program the variables are all initialised correctly but it causes MapInfo to crash on, or around, the commit table statement. I'v
