MI-L Cleaning the geometry errors

Dear members, I tried to clean a tab file with 500,000 objects in MapInfo 6.5 on Windows NT 6a, 512 MB RAM. MapInfo stopped responding after a few minutes. I would like to know how to clean large files for self intersections, overlaps and gaps. Thanking You, Regards Sathish Jagadeesan
