John,
MapX doesn't need to translate shape files to be able to view them. MapX
can read shape files directly. If it is translation you are after, you are

pInfo 6 patch you can actually
have feature level styles stored in the database. This means that you don't
have to have all of the objects on one layer be the same style.

Yunha,
The simplest explanantion would be that you don't have any attribute data
attached to the object you are actually using the tool on, so the info
window doesn't appear. However there could be another reason:
Sometimes if you are using another application on top of MapInfo or have
opened a

I am writing an application to connect to Oracle 8i spatial so I can then
link tables from there.
However, I cannot get the "Server_Connect" statement to work when using
ORAINET as my toolkit, it only works when I use ODBC.
My statement is as follows:

#x27;Trim the last comma of the list
strCols = LEFT$(strCols, LEN(strCols) - 1)
'strCols should now hold a coma delimited list of the column names for a
chosen table.

It also sounds as though you used the same EasyLoader for both uploads.
Because the way Oracle handles spatial layers has changed between 8.1.5 and
8.1.6 you have to be careful which version of EasyLoader you use. If you
use the EasyLoader that comes with MapInfo 6.0 you will have no problems
