All,
Is there anyone out there who is familiar with using CallingAreaInfo
(CAI) and
MapInfo? Basically, here is my situation:
1) I have a large polygon file created by CAI which is exchanges
covered by
NPA/NXXs.
2) I want to use these exchanges to do an analysis in TargetPro.
3) I am unsure ho
Listers,
I have output from calling area info that contains columns called XID
and ID. Is there a way to map based on either of those two columns?
I have duplicate exchange coverage, and have eliminated duplicates
based on XID...now I would like to visually map the remainder.
Thanks!
Jonathan
List,
I am trying to do a match on two table using the SQL select. My
problem comes when
I need to combine two terms for a match from four different columns.
For example:
matching Table 1: City = Raleigh State = NC Variable = X
against Table 2: City = Raleigh S
Listers,
I have a nation-wide set of exchange maps that I created in Calling Area
Info. I wish to import
these maps into TargetPro to do a population coverage analysis. I am new
to this, so I
am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to begin.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jonathan
All,
I received many responses on this, with variations on the below!
I found the Ocean file (in front of me, had I looked) and used
it. Thanks for all the help!

List,
I have on my mapper the standard US map included from Namerca. Is there any
way to change the background to blue to represent the ocean, rather than just
white / default?
Thanks,

Listers,
I am trying to use TargetPro in combination with MapInfo
and CallingAreaInfo to create a population coverage
map.
I keep getting coverage estimates that sum to far more
people than exist in the United States!
I am fairly sure that I am getting overlapping coverage

List,
Does anyone know of a way to match up a list of NPANXXs to the LATA's
they belong to? I am using an SQL select statement and combining data
from CallingAreaInfo and ExchangeInfo Plus right now, but I keep getting
multiple LATAs for several NPANXXs. I am selecting using where

Bill,
Perhaps the easiest way would be to map using circles and a world map.
Find the map scale,
use a compass, and draw circles of the radius in miles indicated on the
map. Do that for
all the cities, and you'll figure out that the point is wherever all the
circles intersect.

Listers,
I am trying to formulate an Access query to
do the following to a CallingAreaInfo database.
Take this structure that looks like this:
201295 23
201295 45
202546 77
202546 85
202546 23
202645 15
And change it using a query to one that summarizes
like this:
201295 23 45
202546 77 85 23
Listers,
Does anyone have an idea as to how to directly plot cities as
points on a Mapinfo map. For instance, I would like to plot
Pittsburg, PA, Washington,D.C., and San Francisco, CA on
a map as points. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!

List,
That seems to have combined the objects into one object, but
not to have removed all the interior boundaries. These objects are
all in the same file.

Listers,
I am making an NPANXX coverage area, and I now have oddly
shaped, multiple-section polygons
on the map. Is there any way short of drawing lines around the edges of
these objects to actually outline them?
Thanks,
