Hi Christine,
Use Universal Translater found under the Tools menu. If you don't know the
projection, you can usually open the .e00 file in a text editor, and then
search for Proj. Projection parameters should be nearby.

Thanks to everyone that responded so quickly! I tried the Universal
Translator a while ago and it didn't work, but maybe it's the projection
that I need to play around with. I let you know if I have any more
problems. Thanks again

In converting some Arc/INFO E00 data to MapInfo, I've noticed that there
are always two ID columns. If the coverage is called CITY95, for example,

appear after the AREA and PERIMETER columns. The first one appears to

Seasons Greetings to all
I am just going through a ARCINFO data set with E00 exchange files.
When using the Universal Translator E00 to tab conversion
I get a failed message

I have not been too attentive to the subject because I though that I would
be able to "avoid" it, but it caught up with me. I apologize if the answer
is somewhere in the archives.
I downloaded a E00 file from GPW (Gridded population of the World) and tried
to import it using ArcLink. This is
