I am investigating GIS Certificate Programs and have a few questions. How
valuable are these courses in the eyes of employers? Are they well
regarded? Does it depend on the school you go to? If you have a
Certificate, do employers regard this as a reason for greater compensation?
Is it more important in some industries than in others?

I'm looking at Cal Poly Pomona's - in California - Center for Geographic
Information Systems Research:
http://www.csupomona.edu/~cgisr/webpages/policy.html. Any comments on their
program?

Any other words of advice?

Thank you in advance,

Your-Mapping-Goddess-in-Training,

Jennifer
