David,
I never had any problem transfering MapInfo information to ArcView and vice
versa. I simply use Universal Translator to convert shapefile to tab. Keep
in mind that the shapefile can't contain more than one type of entity (line,
point or poly) in the same layer and DO NOT support text ele
e to track
down. Seems like half the time I end up editing a mif file.
