MI-L Removing 0's

I know there has to be an easy way to do this, but I can't figure it out right now. I have a field I want to join two tables on, but on of the tables has 00 infront of each number. Ex want to join one field (value =1) and other field (value = 001). Does anyone know the syntax to removes these 0'
