Hi Tom,
The first thing I thought of were fonts as your problem seems to be with text in
the layout... Do you have the fonts you need since installing your new OS?
Cheers.

Since migrating to Windows 2K I am unable to get a satisfactory print. We
are using an HP 750c+ and version 6.5 of MapInfo.
The main problem seems to stem from insets and additional text in the layout
window. The background layer is a raster with digital data plotted on top,

Dear List,
I have a map in powerpoint set up at 56"x56". I would like to print
it to my plotter which is HP Designjet 1050 with a capacity to plot
upto 36" wide. I'm wondering how I can go about printing this map
without losing detail and not having it too small for the users need
either. All

We also use an HP2500CP but have not had these problems. It has been
reliable, but have had to try different versions of plotter drivers to get a
good result.

Hello! Jeroen
My firm had to replace the whole motherboard of our 2500 model. This was really
problematic because HP doesn't support this model anymore. So they had to find the
part in "old parts". Explains why they like to "buy back" old plotter. So after 2
weeks, they eventually track down

The HP 2500CP is a good plotter, but slow. Its main problem is the cost of
the inking system and that you cannot independently replace the ink head (you
have to buy the head and a quart of ink together). It has a max RAM
limitation of 64meg (but that has never stopped me from plotting files
large plot files you will need all the plotter memory
you can get.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with an HP750C loaded up with the maximum
onboard memory. The only reason I can see for needing the fancier models is
if you're in a production situation with dozens of maps to produce every
day.

Hi all.
I've a problem with the layout plotting.
With a Hp 650 (black/white), the legend of a map is plotted as white =
text on a black box (I need the vice versa) and the symbols are not =

What about this matter?
