If you have split your access database so that all the tables live in the
mdb file, then MapInfo will not need to talk to the mde file at all. Simply
create the MAP_CATALOGUE in the mdb file. Essentially, MapInfo and the mde
files are applications accessing data in the mdb file.

This situation will be complicated if you have queries in your mde file
which you need to access from MapInfo. In this case you can either move/copy
the queries to the mdb file, write the queries in MapInfo, or create another
MAP_CATALOGUE in the mde file. I do not recommend the later, as you can
end-up with nasty dependencies which are hard to understand later.
