Hi Carolyn, I have noticed a problem while making .pdfs with a large amount of vector data too. While it hasn't failed me yet, it sure does take a long time to process. If you have a graphics program like photoshop you might try saving the window as a .tif file, opening the file in photoshop and creating a .pdf from there. This will effectivley turn the vector data into raster data and should operate smoothly.
