Guy,
by default windows 2000 has a habit of burying user files (esp..temporary
files that some MB apps may make) under Mydocuments\??\??\??....how deeply
they are buried depends upon your installation...but once you start getting
close to a path length of 124(?) characters or more, some applications start
to go 'blind'.. (including some calls to the API.(!)....as the numerous
emails to me about some of my applications have clearly demonstrated).. i'm
not sure of a good solution but since i reset my temp environment back to
good old c:\temp i have stopped having hassle... I am sure some wondows
gurus out there can help you further...
