If your tab file name is more than 30 characters MapInfo will cur the last
part of the table table name when it is opened.
This is more or less like replacing the spaces with underscores. So MapInfo
sees the table with a diferent name than the name Windows uses.

You could try TAB_INFO_TABFILE to get the full directory path and table name.
