Hi,
If you are using MapInfo 7.0 you can tell MapInfo which projection you
prefer to use for:
- the current session
- new tables
This should do that you don't need to enter the "Set CoordSys..." into the
MapBasic window.

First you open the mapbasic window (Options > Show Mapbasic Window) and
then you type "set coordsys table " and hit enter.
Then you will get the expected centroid coordinates next time you update
the column.
