Thanks Andreas, that worked...I knew that but it had been awhile since I used
powershell, thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

Good morning,
I have successfully tested my connection string with "ogrinfo", now however
when I try to use that connection string in my MapFile
I receive this error...
msDrawMap(): Image handling error. Failed to draw layer named 'myLayer'.
msOGRFileOpen(): OGR error. Open failed for OGR
=myPort”
caused ogrinfo to crash…does the connection string look correct? Is there
somewhere an error might have been written?
Thanks for the help!!

I'm trying to test my connection string in ogrinfo.
These are the steps I'm taking...
1. Open PowerShell as administrator
2. Navigate to directory where ogrinfo.exe is located
3. Enter command "ogrinfo
MySQL:DatabaseName,host=Server,user=myUserName,password=myPassword,port=myPort"
Then I
In my connection is it possible to replace the “uid” and “pwd” with an
environmental variable that mapserver would look up?
Or some other way obfuscating the credentials?

Have you tried to connect to the sql server outside of mapserver using the same
credentials? ie: make sure the the mapserver user is a valid user to do the
connection with.

I'm curious if there have been any performance test performed with IIS vs.
Apache.
Currently I have used MS4W to install Mapserver using "Fast-cgi" however I am
getting poor performance.
Is there any benefit to using a IIS installation over Apache or vice versa as
far a speed is concerned?
Hey everyone, I'm using OL3 with mapserver...the problem I'm having is that
MapServer seems to be running fine,
I have a .map file say for "States" like this...
MAP
IMAGETYPE PNG24
CONFIG "PROJ_LIB" "C:/Program Files/MapServer/projlib/"
EXTENT -180 -90 180 90
SIZE
Good afternoon all,
Still working on getting MapServer up and running…
I am getting blank tiles back with a status of 200 in chrome.
I enabled DEBUG 4 in my .map file and designated an "MS_ERRORFILE", when I
request the page an error test document is created…
However it is blank…does this mean
Good morning, I believe that I almost have MapServer working!!
I am getting tiles back for my map and they are all status 200 which is great!!
:)
However there are no images which is not :(
I believe that I have traced the problem on the server to a path...
Does anyone know of a good current guide for setting up a MapServer WMS...I've
looked on mapserver.org
and there is some information but it also includes broken paths in the
instructions for testing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon I'm trying to set up x64 MapServer on Windows 2012 server.
I've been partially successful in that the MapServer dll's are all there but
when I run my .map file through shp2img.exe
The process is failing on a .map file that worked previously.
This is what the map file looks like
I'm starting over with MapServer and would like to do a IIS install of the
latest version on a Windows Server 2012 R2 64 bit machine.
Is this possible?...I've tried to find instructions in the documentation but
can't seem to find something that fits my needs.

Can't load requested dynamic library: msplugin_mssql2008.dll
I have a WebAPI that calls a dll that references MapServer to create some
reports with maps on them.
When I run my unit test localy on the WebAPI everything works great!
When I try to hit the WebAPI from a browser I get the following
I need to combine several .Map files that look like this...
MAP

CONFIG PROJ_LIB C:/Program Files/MapServer/projlib/
EXTENT -180 -90 180 90
SIZE 256 256
FONTSET C:/Program Files/MapServer/content/fontset.txt
