You could possibly get more hints if you put you map in debug mode and see

see the logs. You can add something like this in your map:
CONFIG MS_ERRORFILE f:/tmp/ms_error.log
DEBUG 5
You should be able to check then the query sent to the oracle db and
that might give your more hints.
