The submitter did not supply additional information as requested... so I
will drop the patch to add host/port to the error log (doesn't seem
necessary to add random stuff to the error log without justification), and
pushed to 10.2 a reworked patch for consistent stop message from the SQL
thread.

I've requested your review on this, here are few additional notes.
I ran some benchmarks comparing against MySQL5.7's JSON field type. And
it seems
that the difference in performance is negligible.
For instance here are results for 20M rows with rather complicated JSON:
