Is there a file/document browser that render and display Markdown
files? (for the Mac)

Most of the point of Markdown is that it can be viewed/edited in any
simple text editor.
Try TextEdit, SimpleText, or from the command-line (terminal window)
vi. Lots of Mac geeks use an editor that starts with BB (BBedit?)
In my usage markdown text is only viewed by me. I use it in
combination

I'll assume you know BBEdit (8+ ?) renders Markdown files.

Ohh, yes ... I actually made my own markdown preview in BBEdit before
it was built-in ;-)

MarsEdit. It's for writing blog posts. One can enter text in Markdown
format and see a live preview in another panel, showing how it will
look in a browser. Even if you don't actually publish to a blog.
