But in all seriousness the Packt book is fairly decent. Soon there will be a
new book for 4.1 and so on,
I'm not sure how many committers are technical writers, but we might end up
with only 1-2 books on the page if committership is a requirem

I completely agree, and that's why many on the marketing channel often have
friction with core developers. The corporate side of me says plaster it
everywhere, free advertisement, co-op marketing efforts, put CloudStack in
everyones hands...

I think a lot of it is geographical. It's very expensive for most of us to
commute. But your right, I would imagine we have a fairly large group of
committers in the valley, shame none of them are interested. I know most of the
marketing folks are east coast-ish and Europe.
