All,
I'm so happy that Jan and the PMC have finally took a hard stance on this
subject. I've always felt like CouchApps were overly coupled and a bad
idea from the start, and I'm happy to see them go. However, I understand
that we all have different needs and philosophies. For my business use
for taking on this
opportunity! I always look forward to the weekly news, and I'm happy that
it will continue on.
Best Regards!

I was wondering how long the voting period for the new logo will last? I

I would prefer a default installation that has as few dependencies as
possible, and use plugins for additional functionality.

Akshat, I really like the Robots as well :) They are allot of fun, and
definitely look better at larger sizes so a banner shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the feedback!

All,
I have continued to develop new concept art in hopes of furthering our
effort to update the CouchDB logo. I have three distinct concepts for
your
review and consideration
on this point. Not only do we
have valid reasons for changing the logo, but we have an opportunity to
improve and update the branding of CouchDB. The upcoming release of 2.0,
and Cloudants/IBM's increasing support of the project only amplify this
need.
