In Cetacean Session #5 on Thursday, May 27th at 7:00 pm Pacific Time we
will discuss how cetaceans resist cancer and its implications for
understanding diseases in humans and other animals by taking a closer look
at the recently published paper ‘Positive selection and gene duplications
in tumour suppressor genes reveal clues about how cetaceans resist cancer’
(Proceedings of the Royal Society B) with its lead author Daniela
Tejada-Martinez. Presentation and discussion will be followed by live Q&A
with the audience.
