This is an interview I did in 2009, so a bit old. It initially appeared in print, but I've just stuck it up on Redline. Folks may be interested. Tommy is a fascinating character - was in the IRA for many years, including being a POW for about 16 years, during which time he was also on hunger strike for about 53 days in 1980 (he was on the first hunger strike, the one that preceded the one on which ten IRA and INLA comrades died). These days Tommy is a leading figure - northern organiser - in the Independent Workers Union.
