David McReynolds, now 85, is taking heat for referring to Michael Brown as a "thug" and adopting an Islamophobic position on Charlie Hebdo. I've known David for 20 years at least but have lost touch with him, even through email. I can say this, for what it's worth, that he has developed a position on Syria that is indistinguishable from Andre Vltchek or Pepe Escobar. In David's case, this might reflect declining mental powers that attends old age (keep an eye on me in years to come) but what is Vltchek and Escobar's excuse?
