https://rdln.wordpress.com/2016/07/13/support-the-irish-revolution-donate-to-eirigi/ eirigi was founded in 2006 by just half a dozen young people who left the Provos in opposition to the rightward evolution of the Republican Movement; the last straw was Sinn Fein's support for policing in the north. Subsequently, a layer of former prisoners, veterans of the armed struggle, joined and the organisation quickly expanded around Ireland. It has been to the forefront in championing working class interests against the bank bailouts, homelessness (and the tragedy of the ghost estates), workplace rights and conditions, opposition to the Shell-to-Sea pipeline, and opposition to partition and the continuing occupation of the six north-eastern counties of Ireland. If you click on some of the link pieces on the url above, you will find videos of eirigi actions and several interviews with leading figures in the new movement. eirigi is a totally working class organisation and its members are largely drawn form the poorest sections of the Irish working class.
