Among the killings since Jan 25 (400 at least but according to many factors the final toll must be above 1000), there were those 10 who fell on Wed 2-Thurs 3 in what was to be a total massacre if it weren't for our warlike triumphant defense of Tahrir to keep it free from the regime.
Here is my testimony, which is not complete though: http://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/aegypten490.html I'll be writing a full account of my week-long sit-in there. This will be remembered not only in political but also military history as The Egyptian Museum Battle. We even built a trebuchet ( http://www.incendiaryimage.com/sketchbook/trebuchet/). To give you a hint of what Tahrir square has come to be for a week now, it is a Hyde Park-like commune populated by millions of pro-democracy Egyptians--nonpartisan youth (many of whom once apolitical), Muslim Brothers, salafists, Leftists, social democrats, communists, anarchists, progressive bourgeoisie, centrists and right-wing, of all age groups, walks of life and classes. -- محمد فتحي كلفت Mahammad Fathy Kalfat _______________________________________________ Marxism-Thaxis mailing list Marxism-Thaxis@greenhouse.economics.utah.edu To change your options or unsubscribe go to: http://greenhouse.economics.utah.edu/mailman/listinfo/marxism-thaxis
