I have set up a linux box as a small 'firewall' for my personal home
computer, and use an external TA for ISDN. my windows machine is linked to
the linux via ethernet cards. My serial port TA is a ZyXel Omni.net, and it
works just like a modem - aside from a few extra AT commands, the computer
thinks it is a modem. I did have to buy an extra high speed I/O card to use
the high serial throughput of the TA (up to 460kbps). This was easily
configured with the setserial command. In combination with this I have
configured diald on the linux so that it automatically connects when need
arise.

No special ipmasq setup was required for this, just use the same setup as
you would with a modem connection.
