Bongiorno said Massachusetts Avenue had to be temporarily closed at one point this morning when a street light wire fell into the roadway. The road has since been reopened, but Bongiorno said several other fallen wires have been reported and a couple of trees have toppled from the storm. Police have not received any reports of power outages, he said. The town has declared a snow emergency and a parking ban will remain in effect through 7 a.m. tomorrow. Bongiorno said 17 cars have been towed for parking on the street, and police have also responded to several disabled vehicles on Massachusetts Avenue. Bongiorno urged motorists to stay of the roads if possible while the DPW works to plow the road -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
