There seems to be a problem with the way the Mauve GUI tries to cache
some of the sequence data the first time the alignment is opened, to
speed up the load time when it is opened in the future. Others are
experiencing this too.

I made an alignment of 15 bacterial strains months ago and had no problem until
now.
I reopened it yesterday... and try again today a few times, and the found the
problem that annotations are not loaded, so alignment is basically useless for
my purposes.
It's happened to me few times
