I want to migrate my server from Windows XP to GNU/Linux. Installation
on Windows XP was great! very easy and fast. But still webdbm always

Possibilities:
1. google for "ODBC proxy". There seem to exist several projects that allow you to
access a remote ODBC driver
2. port the client libs of MaxDB (http://sapdb.2scale.net/moin.cgi/PortingSapdb)
- Kai's port to FreeBSD was somewhat easier as he could use the Linux build tools

Salut Xavier,
You might wanna have a look at the old SAPDB Port to FreeBSD5 (which OSX is
100% based on), maybe for the client drivers this old version might be enough,
and is definately easier to port then the MaxDB and its DevTools (my experience
on FBSD).

objective C. Is there a free or a commercial way to do what I want to
(either with an ODBC driver other with a c/c++ wrapper) ?

Hello,
First of all thanks for the information.
One of our production Databases could be upgraded easily by the following

1. installation of "sapdb-server-win-32Bit-i386-7_3_0_24" on a test system
2. recovere the Instance from a migration
3. upgrade the sap kernel to "sapdb-all-win-32bi
Hi,
The db went down again.
This time I also have some ak.dmp files and ak.stm files.

Hi David,
there exists a systemview ALLOCATORSTATISTIC which shows the allocation of the heap.
Allocators are using a base allocator to extend their own chunks but at the at the end
the systemheap is used which is controlled by your os and ulimit settings for the user
under which the database is
