I think I just found the problem: When I use a remote desktop, I had to
specify the host using the -n option in dbmcli. Connections using the
protocol fail. Logging on the console did not show these problems,
and the database could be started without any problems.

Today I started to have a problem with my MaxDB (7.5.0.19) installation.
With DBMGui, the database state appeared as Unknown. So I tried to
stop/start the database manually. I stopped the service via control panel
(I'm using Windows XP), and, then, issued the following commands:

Are you suggesting that I copy the loadercli.exe file from a newer install,
copy to the older system, and then re-run the extract?

We have a MaxDB Version 7.5.0 running on sles8 with 2 raw-devices for Data

After sles8 suddenly hangs we did a restart.
The instance refused to switch to state ONLINE,
but shows the following messages:
