Hi Markus !
The following files where build in the programs/lib directory (ls -l
websql.*):
-rw-r--r-- 2 sdb sdba 1674858 19. Aug 03:23 websql.a
-rw-r--r-- 2 sdb sdba 1674858 19. Aug 03:23 websql.a.f
-rwxr-xr-x 2 sdb sdba 1124112 19. Aug 03:23 websql.so
-rwxr-xr-x 2 sdb sdba 1124112 19. Aug 03
finally found an old mailing list post with this in it:
getconf GNU_LIBPTHREAD_VERSION
SuSE 9.1 (32-bit) returns NPTL 0.61
SuSE 9.2 (amd64) returns NPTL 2.3.3
Would that imply that all 9.x suse installations are good to go or just the
9.2x64 strain?

I can't find any info on how to issue a command to see if a current system
has ntpl support already built in ... does anyone know where to find some?

Hi Hermann
can you tell us which libraries of websql (websql.so?) was build in your
programs directory?
And you are right. There are still websql sources in the MaxDB source package.
Anyway, the distribution of websql known with 7.5 ist not planed with 7.6.

Markus

Hello Ajit,
ERR_USRFAIL can have three reasons:
A) user or password are not correct
B) The User Profile Container (\config\.upc) is
empty and the specified user and password do not match the one encrypted
in the parameter file of the database.
C) The User Profile Container (\config\.upc) is

Hello Martin,
Provided, that your 7.6 database already exists, I do not see any
problems with your script.

Hi Daniel !
I am a little bit confused regarding your statement that there is no
websql and webdav in version 7.6 anymore.
I am using version 7.6.0.12 that has been built from sources on a gentoo
linux x86 plattform.
I have websql in programs/lib/ and i am using it.

Hi,
Could you please tell us, which DB release you're running?
If you run MaxDB 7.6 there are no websql and no webdav anymore. If you
like to use them you would have to uninstall the 7.6 webtools package
and install a 7.5 webtools package instead, for that still contains
websql as well as webdav
I have a problem with websql
I have installed MAXDB on Linux Fedora Core 3. The installation appears to
be OK, I can run the webdbm (thanks Hermann, Carlos and Robert) but I cannot
start the websql service. I searched the log file to see what is happening
and I see the following line

Hi Florian,
I did have the same error. You need to recompile a fresh kernel with
NTPL-Support. Until now I couldn't find a workaround to this.
MaxDB 7.6 implements NTPL as threading and not Linuxthreads.
Have a lot of fun :-)
